Jeff Probst blogs ‘Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains’ episode 7 | EW.com

My therapist says that time heals everything, but I’m not sure how much time it will take to heal this loss. I miss him already. I miss the battle. Russell vs. Boston Rob will go down as one of the greatest battles of all time. I want them back. Now. We should do an entire season centered around Boston Rob vs. Russell. Give them some war clubs, put them in a gladiator ring.
Amber could be the ring girl. She’s dressed the same way she was in Maxim (if you haven’t seen it go back and check it out) but instead of being the sexy ring girl, this time she’s a mom, carrying child. She represents hope for the world. Goodness.
Coach would be Rob’s consigliore, his right hand man.At the other end of the arena, Russell would stand alone. No friends. No allies.
The promos are written, the audience would be there. Right? If I told you right now that next season we’d have Russell and Rob back again, wouldn’t you be intrigued?Okay, enough of my clear favoritism!
Man, I’m so in sync with you guys I can hear your comments already. “Why don’t you ever talk about how awesome Candace is?” “Jeff, relax, Rob is already married!” “Why do you love all the villains and hate all the heroes?”
Maybe it’s time for me to do a quick recap of everybody left in the game:

Rob is the man and he is a hero !
russell is right up there with that eveil dick person on past BB. which is no compliment..
Rob we love you and Amber!
Congrats on new baby girl .

Rob should have stayed and Russell should have been long gone. There is no one left on the villains team for me to root for. I hope they completely fall apart now.

Jeff along with others has missed the big picture. Russell needs to get rid of those he does not want on the jury if he makes it that far. He is cleaning house of his enemys before the merge. He really doesn’t care if they loose every week, works in his favor.

Did none of the villians watch Russell’s last performance on survivor and if so, are they blind and deaf ? He is a snake. He offers everyone the same deal and evidently, none of these players talk to each other or they would see that. I guess intelligence wasn’t one of the qualifications to be on the villians tribe. Last year Russell said he wasn’t a bit like he was on the show, HA. It had to come from somewhere and you don’t get that sneaky and able to lie as good as he does if you don’t do it in your normal life. I hope the villians go down in flames for voting off their strongest player. And Jerri, well what can you say, she’s as self centred as Russell and coach is an Ahole. He brags about his honor and his word well his word wasn’t worth much last week. Shows just what his true character is. WAKE UP PEOPLE ! Get rid of the troll.

No one watched Russell last season because allstars began filming 10 dayd after Samoa ended. Jerri simplely wanted revenge on Rob for what happened on the first allstars. Coach made two promises, one not to vote for Russell and one not to vote for Rob, so he was screwed either way.
By Pauline on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Ditto, I can’t believe they are sooo stupid. I’m going to keep watching till someone drowns Russell!
By dennis on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Again, after 3 tries, Rob continues to lose; the only time he won anything was when his wife won the $million on allstars. He couldn’t even win the Amazing Race. The guy needs to get a real job instead of living off his wife.

I HATE RUSSELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO BOSTON ROB!!!!!!! I’M SORRY YOU
GOT VOTED OUT :)
By Tom on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
I was scared that Russell might actually lose and be voted off, I could not take losing Russell, he is a “must have.” It will be interesting to see what Russell can do with Amanda after the merge. He seems to have a way with the women. Russell took doen one of the best players in Boston Rob. Respect.
If Russell makes it to the end, he will win if the jury has any sort on integrity.

Boston Rob vs. Russel. Who did people really think was going to win? somebody who played years ago, or sombody who is at the top of his game this year. i think that everybody posting are big Rob fans, and probably only watched this season because he was on there. They probably didnt watch last season where Russel was a genious. This season, best move, without the numbers, gets out the most dangerous person on the villains. Russel is now in control, and i think that he will easily reach the top 3.
By Aaron on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Why are you mad. Boston Rob wasnt as smart as Russel, and that showed last night. Adios Boston Rob. Russel will have a million dollars in his pocket in no time.
By Fan-O-Robfather on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Still pretty upset today that Boston Rob is gone. I went into this season with my two favorite survivor players ever being 1) Robfather 2) Russell. I prayed from the beginning that the two of them would team up and take everyone out but also enjoyed the battle between them. I suppose once I get over being angry I will still vote Russell. I mean he took out who I consider the best ever, does that make him the best? I guess so, but I’m still team Robfather for life and it is going to be rough watching the rest of the season.
Probst – I really hope you’re joking that this is probably Robfather’s last season. It wouldn’t be Survivor All-Stars w/o him.
GGRRRRR….Russell…Still can’t beleive he pulled it off.
By Fan-O-Robfather on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
OH YEA…Tyson you suck! Robfather’s demise was a direct result of your overwhelming stupidity. Credit the subsequent dip in ratings to this schmuck!
Team Robfather for life! Win or lose!

all these people that say they hate russell are ridcoulous,he is the best person that has ever played the game because he has the mindset of what it is a GAME,rob is good,he,s smart,he,s strong but he had no clue as to the way russell plays, the way russell is playing now is how rob played in the all stars he was the biggest snake around,he played everyone but it was his time then, russell never loses focus of what he needs to do to get farther in the GAME.AND DON,T TELL ME YOU RUSSELL HATERS WOULDN,T DO THE SAME PLAYING THIS game.GET OVER IT ALREADY,i wouldn,t miss one show whether or not russell was on because i like the GAME.he,s a great player and he deserves to win the whole GAME.
By victord on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Jeff,
Russell would win. He is the only one having any fun, and that is what it’s all about.
By Sue Maltese on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
CANNOT BELIEVE IT – Rob gone. He is my absolute favorite. I have lost interest in the show now that he is gone. My only reason for possibly viewing is to see Russell and Jerri go down. I cannot believe Jerri was sucked in by Russell’s baloney. She thinks Coach does not know how to play the game, well he is not alone, you do not either, Jerri. If you both had done the right thing we would still have Rob. Won’t be the same without him. I have also been a long time fan of Colby, glad he rebounded last night. Let’s go Heroes!
By Natalie on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
Oh Rob….I miss you already. I have read all the comments and I understand and commiserate with the anger, sadness and feelings of loss. But…I will say this. I can’t stand Russell, Rob couldn’t stand Russell. Russell is a good player and I’m pretty sure Rob recognizes that. Outwit, outlast, outplay. Those are the rules of survivor. There is no guideline for how you get there. Return, Revenge, Redemption. Russell plays the game to his advantage. It’s an interesting balance that he creates by backstabbing people and having them still stand by his side.
I personally am looking forward to him crying when he looses a second time. and Jerri did make the right choice in voting for Rob because if she wants to win the game…Rob couldn’t be there in the end. She should have waited until it was an individual game though because I saw Colby wake up last night and the heroes are going to pick them off as much as possible now.
Love you Rob

To Denis, you obviously didn’t watch Amazing Race. Rob and Amber were robbed in one on television’s most insidious acts. The were on the plane, by themselves heading for the States. The plane had already left the gate. It was called back so that the other couple could get on. The producers obviously realized they would have no show if R&B got to the US without any competition. I am amazed R&B didn’t raise hell. Maybe a backroom deal was worked out.
By chalcedon on Apr 2, 2010 | Reply
@ Pookaone : but even this kind of strategy wont help him at the end – many heroes already hate him. So there is NO strategy like cleaning the house

I think the Survivor group should consider “Dumb and Dumber” for an upcoming show theme. Obviously, Tyson, Jerry and Coach would be on the ‘Dumber’ side.
Obviously, a disappointed Boston Rob fan.

Ah Lily… clearly you don’t see the masterpiece that Russell Hantz has woven for your entertainment. I’m always amazed that people don’t see how aware Russell is of Ratings and the awesome responsibility he holds in serving as a representative for the show.
Mr. Probst has it EXACTLY right in saying that Russell deserves a dedicated season challenge and that Rob was an interesting diversion. In the end, Rob did turn out to be little more than a snack for Russell and Rob’s exit interview shows how someone’s practiced rhetoric gets tired even though it does attract us. Rob’s comment that Russell is a “legend in his own mind” really makes no sense since this season (Heroes vs. Villians) really is about the “legends” of Survivor and it’s likely that Russell Hantz is on a strong path to become the ultimate Legend and Survivor.
Calling Russell a “little man” is a cheap shot at Russell who is probably about average height in reality and the very poor taste (see definition for “sore loser”) of Rob’s comments show in part what sunk his ship. The other survivors likely just got sick of Rob’s attacks on Russell who just kept smiling and laughing (a lesson for future survivors about attitude).
It’s fascinating that Rob’s exit interview was all about Russell Hantz. I’m sure that for the rest of Boston Rob’s life, Russell Hantz will be in the forefront of his mind and if it isn’t, I’m sure that everyone who meets him will remind him through questions, comments, and innuendos.
Boston Rob’s best approach from here on is to say Russell Hantz is a great player and is likely the best Survivor of all time.

There’s also another serious problem on Survivor. It comes in the form of Ruppert. In a previous episode he rammed Jerry’s face into a post and she definitely did not appreciate it. In this week’s episode he tried to elbow another competitor in the mouth with quite some force during the reward challenge and then violently pushed someone around after the challenge ended.
I am starting to question whether Ruppert is a safety issue and whether that it’s just a matter of time before he serious hurts one of the female cast members through his violent ways.

hmmmm… Mr. Probst’s ideas are always the best… A season of Russell v. Rob … what would that look like I wonder?
The possibilities are endless and if the result is anything like this weeks episode … it’ll be a barn burning doooosie!
This week’s installment of Survivor wasn’t an “episode”… it was an EPICsode! Thanks Mr. Probst and everyone at the Survivor Network and show!

saying that you hate a person in essence your saying that you hate the game of survivor. To take jabs at the persons life outside of the game is taking it too far.
Russell has a great strategy, but I don’t see how he will go to the top and win unless he has learned from his mistakes last season.
I was a Rob fan first but after last season Russell claims the number 1 spot. It would have been nice to see the 2 team up and literally lay waste everyone in its path. Russell has shown himself to be the best at this game, no doubt about it.

P.S. Look out for Jerri she’s in a great position now and if she plays it right she will dominate the game.

I just watched the latest episode of Survivor.
I was very very bummed to see Rob go.
I hope Villains go down now, especially A-hole Russel.
By Nate on Apr 3, 2010 | Reply
Jimmy’s finally hit on what’s going to happen next in the villians tribe. Jerri’s positioned herself nicely between the two pillars on the villain’s tribe and now with Rob gone n Sandra n Courtney scrambling, Jerri in tandem w Coach now hold the key. Suvivor’s edit is going to play it up w King Russell pulling the strings but his due for a blindside of his own. Jerri’s only option ( n Coach for that matter having caught himself on the fence without a clear loyalty to Russell) to recalibrate the pecking order in her favour is to pick up Sandra n Courtney n realign w Coach. Russell voted out next tribal council. It’s going to be interesting watching Russell get himself out of this one although I wouldn’t put it past him to prove me wrong.

BRING ROB BACK! That would be the ultimate! We don’t want to watch anymore with Rob. He’s made this season. Just watching the battle between Rob & Russell is like heros vs villans! By the previews, it shows just how much of a presence Rob made on the Island and how they suffer without him. He’s the ultimate survivor. I don’t know how he’s never won. He’s so smart, knows what’s going on but it never seems to work out. Have a clue given where the prize is Rob’s reserection like the rising of the phoenix! It’s called Redemption after all!

Russell is the ratings king and without him Survivor would not ne interesting . Rob calling Russell “a legend in his own mind ” is simply sour grapes and I hope he gets over the fact that Russell was just too good this time around . Rob was trying to be Dirty Harry when he said that .
As for Rupert being violent towards Jerri in a previous episode by slamming her head into the post well if you watch the replay of that show you will see how bad it really was by the actions of Boston Rob who went after Rupert big time . That must have pissed Rob off bad and he seriously went after Rupert so yes Rupert is very clumsy . He and Russell were pushing and shoving in episode 7 so Russell didn’t appreciate Rupert’s actions . Rupert is dopey and clumsy so forgive him for that but if he does it again someone might iron him out .
I can’t wait till the merge and see how Russell will react and what strategy he will adopt because Parvati might stab him in the back . Best option for Russell is to form an alliance with Coach , Jerri , Dannielle and maybe Colby if he is still around ? That would be great since Rupert , JT , Amanda and Parvati will form an alliance . Hope Courtney and Sandra are voted off they don’t do much especially Courtney who is too brittle . Wish the HATCH was around he and Russell would have hated each other .
If Russell can’t win … I will hope Amanda finally does but I agree with onething Russell is the best advertisement for Survivor … Sorry Rob you were playing with the Bigger Boys so you had little chance of staying in the game … Russell nailed you hard !
By Jeremy on Apr 4, 2010 | Reply
Wow! It was amazing! I was really sad to see Boston Rob go for the same reasons Jeff talked about but I definitely think it is a good move for Russell to take out his competitors before the merge. I’m always skeptical of the best players winning (he and Rob were the best…Rob’s gone…he’s the best) but I hope he does, especially after getting screwed out of it in Samoa.

Robfather is still the greatest and most entertaining Survivor player ever!
But for now, I have to root either for Russell to win (as I respect his gameplay) or for Parvati to backstab Russell and blindside him.
Days passed, and I’m still really upset Rob is gone. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

wow, i can’t believe boston rob has been voted out and snivelling russel is still there. Rob is one of the best survivor players of all time and makes watching the show worth it..russel on the other hand is so far up his own Ahole blowing his own horn that when he lost he still couldn’t accept it graciously and with integrity like rob does. Ooh no he still keeps getting lost in his own Ahole and turns from evil russel into snivelling russel because he lost and still thinks he is the best ever..i laughed my ass off when he lost and when he snivelled…hasn’t he heard that everything has a used by date and his used by date is up…his first evil show had us watching, but the second time around he is grating and becoming tiresome…i can’t wait for him to get voted off or lose again… i have a big box of tissues ready for him to cry into when he starts to snivell again..here is a small box now [~~~]..i will be laughing my ass off all over again at snivelling evil russel…ahhhaaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaa….bring back boston rob, watching rob is better viewing…OOH!! and Russel, aah aah aah tissue!!! hahahahhahaaaaaaa. Cry baby Russel sitting in a tree, aah tissue aah tissue here’s a box from me, your not the best player in the survivor role, your only the best ever up yourself Ahole ….

mmmmmmm..I have to agree with the aussie chick. I remember the tears in russels eyes and he just couldn’t get over losing. Its a bit hard to believe russel when he says he’s not evil in real life like he was on his first survivor. What you see is what you get i think.

If no of the other survivors dont’ get that swearing on your children is a red flag, they deserve to leave. Who, with any morals would say such a lousy thing ? Well I guess the troll would ! Big surprise there. It’s just a game and to use that kind of oath, shows how despicable Russell is. He stepped outside on that one. Out smarting is one thing, but he shouldn’t have sunk that low. I hope they finally dump his sorry ass.
By cleosasp on May 18, 2010 | Reply
So glad to see Russell put in his place by Rupert. Russell is a sad little man who thinks he is bullet proof. I think Parvati should have won but as long as it’s not the toad, I really don’t care. It’s too bad the survivor network felt they had to sink so low to get audiences. Watching Russell the 1st time was bad enough but then u bring him back. He is such an arrogant self centered person. I did feel sorry for his family hearing all the bad feedback but Russell didn’t just get that way overnight. He’s a natural as far as deceiving people and saying ” I swear on my kids heads” idiot. Oh well, all in all, I hope never to see or hear about him again.
